And it’s time to do a full review of Huawei’s new smartwatch-smartband mix, the elegant Band 6!

Does the Huawei Band 6 bring all the functions we are looking for in a smartband?

Find out in our full review:

Huawei Band 6: Design and Construction

We opened our review talking about the design and construction of Band 6.

This smartwatch has a super stylish design that matches any style.

It comes with a very high quality silicone band that has UV protection.

As a bonus, Band 6 has high resistance to dirt and can even be submerged up to 1 meter (3 ft). So it can be used while swimming.

On the side of the construction, we have a button that controls the smartband functions.

And at the bottom, we have the charging contacts and monitoring sensors.

In addition, at the bottom there is also a system that allows you to change the band, if you like to vary the colors.

This slimmer construction ensures the Band 6 weighs just 18 grams!

Huawei Band 6: Screen and Battery

And let’s talk about screen and autonomy, as they are directly linked.

The Band 6 features a 1.47-inch screen, which is surprising for its weight.

In addition to being large, this screen has AMOLED technology and still has a huge use rate of 64%.

To close with a flourish, we have a sharpening rate of 282 pixels per inch.

This combination of features delivers a smartband with a giant screen and very high quality.

But despite having a big screen and very sharp, Huawei managed to create a smartwatch with a battery life of two weeks of continuous use!

Of course, this number is reached if you have moderate use of the functions. With very intense use, the autonomy can vary from 3 to 10 days.

In our test done with many functions and almost all active sensors, Band 6 only used 60% of the battery in 7 days of use.

Another big difference is that, even if you run out of battery, it only takes 5 minutes of charging to have 2 days of use!

Huawei Band 6: Functions

If we pull the Band 6 screen from top to bottom, we have access to some shortcuts, including the smartband settings.

And if we pull it from the bottom up, we can see the notifications.
Unfortunately, we can’t respond to WhatsApp notifications, but it shows.

We can also change the display if we keep pressing for 2 seconds.

By clicking on the button on the side, or pulling to the sides, we have access to all smartband functions.

The Band 6 has a heart rate function that monitors your heart rate throughout the use of the band, which is very important for risk groups.

Another important full-time function is the control of oxygenation in the blood.

It also monitors changes in stress and our sleep.

In addition to health functions, we have weather information, timer, stopwatch… Anyway, basic smartband functions.

And finally, we have a super complete music player that features a volume control!

Huawei Band 6: App

Huawei Band 6 has a very complete app that brings other functions and settings to our smartband.

Huawei Healthy brings various summaries and widgets on its main page.

The first icon shows our main goal and the daily goal we registered.

We can also check the health functions here in more detail, such as the stress graph and sleep control.

In addition to monitoring the changes, we also receive tips to improve our quality of life and to get a good night’s sleep.

In the app we were also able to modify several settings of Huawei Band 6.

We can even register a multitude of apps to send us notifications.
In fact, we had never seen a smartband that accepted notifications from so many apps!
