The Tronsmart Onyx Ace Review!

The Tronsmart Onyx Ace Review!

The Tronsmart Onyx Ace is a headset inspired by Apple AirPods that at first glance does not impress. However, recently, I received a sample of this Bluetooth headset and today, I present to you the complete analysis of the Tronsmart Onyx Ace. Get ready because you will be surprised!

Tronsmart Onyx Ace: design, construction and battery

The Tronsmart Onyx Ace comes with a charging base with a glossy finish, which is more prone to scratches and fingerprints. However, it is beautiful and has an exotic design.

In front of the base, there are 4 LEDs that inform the battery status. And since we are talking about autonomy, the Tronsmart Onyx Ace delivers an autonomy of 5hrs of continuous music playback, at medium volume.

Inside the base, we found two touch sensitive headphones very similar to those of Apple AirPods. These headphones have IPX5 protection for water resistance. Which is great.

Tronsmart Onyx Ace: how to pair with the smartphone?

Pairing the Tronsmart Onyx Ace with your smartphone is easy. Just open the charging base and the headphones will connect to each other and enter pairing mode. Then, just search for the headphones in the Bluetooth list of the smartphone to establish a connection.

Tronsmart Onyx Ace: functions

The Tronsmart Onyx Ace is a very complete headset. All functions are available here. You can play/rewind/pause/unpause songs, lower and increase the volume, answer and refuse calls and even access the virtual assistant.

Tronsmart Onyx Ace: audio test, microphone test and delay test

In the Tronsmart Onyx Ace audio test, I was surprised. The sound quality is very good, we hear powerful bass tones, but we also hear the other tones: mid and high. This is very good, as it shows that the headset is very balanced.

Then, I did a microphone test on the Tronsmart Onyx Ace and the audio captured by my computer revealed a good volume level and no significant noise. I was satisfied.

Finally, I did a delay test on the Tronsmart Onyx Ace. And fortunately, I can categorically state that there is no audio delay in this headset even in games or music and videos.

Tronsmart Onyx Ace: is it worth it?

Yes, the Tronsmart Onyx Ace is really worth it. In fact, this headset is one of the best Apple AirPods alternatives headphones that I tested in 2020.
