The Redmi Note 11 5G Review!

And after a few weeks of testing, behold, I deliver to you the complete review of the Redmi Note 11 5G, including a performance test and cameras! Check out this review and find out if it’s really worth it!

Redmi Note 11 5G: design and construction

And once again, Xiaomi takes great care in the design and gives us a super elegant smartphone.

The Redmi Note 11 5G has a beautiful Stardust White color with a glitter-like effect that draws a lot of attention. Plus, it carries a very authorial design by Redmi and has a construction made entirely in plastic, which does not mean that this is a lightweight smartphone.

In fact, the Redmi Note 11 5 weighs 195 grams, but as the weight is very well distributed, prolonged use of the device does not cause discomfort.

Talking about the build:

On the back, the Redmi Note 11 5G has 3 cameras in the upper right corner. On the right side of the device, we have the on/off button, which is also the biometric reader, and the + and – volume buttons.

On the underside, it features a USB Type-C connector for faster charging, a 3.5 mm jack for conventional headphones, and a built-in speaker. At the top, we have the second speaker and an infrared sensor, which makes this smartphone different.

Finally, on the left we have a card slot that is hybrid, so you have to choose between expanding your smartphone’s memory or using two chips at the same time.

Oh, and the Redmi Note 11 5G still has ip53 protection against dust and water splashes.

Redmi Note 11 5G: screen

The Redmi Note 11 5G features a large IPS screen of 6.6 which, despite not being the best on the market, has a refresh rate of 90Hz with a great performance and still delivers very beautiful colors, which is not common to see in smartphones in this price range.

Of course, as it is an LCD screen, we were able to distinguish the screen from the edge perfectly, but the edges are not that protruding, which results in a good utilization rate of 84.8%.

In addition, this screen really has very vivid colors and still has a good sharpness rate of 399 PPI, so I believe it is excellent value for money.

Here, the only point that needs to be revised by the manufacturer is the amount of brightness, because even when it is at the maximum level, it is a little difficult to see the screen in bright sunlight.

Redmi Note 11 5G: hardware and software

Unlike the conventional Redmi Note 11 that features the trendy Snapdragon, the Redmi Note 11 5G features a processor that is not very well known, but that did not disappoint, the Dimensity 810 5G.
This 6nm processor features 5G technology, so it is more energy efficient.

The Redmi Note 11 5G still features the Mali-G57 MC2, a mid-range graphics card that showed great performance together with this processor.

Yes, we put the marriage of this hardware and software to the test and were surprised with a great performance in very heavy games, even using a higher quality than recommended. In addition, it also performed excellently during everyday tasks, opening several applications simultaneously without crashing at any time.

Honestly, we didn’t expect such a good performance from a mid-range smartphone.

Redmi Note 11 5G: battery

And if you didn’t believe in the energy efficiency of the Dimensity 810 5G, know that it was able to deliver 12 consecutive hours of gaming, with brightness at 50% and 90Hz on.

It is worth mentioning that the Redmi Note 11 5G has a large 5000mAh battery, but even so, it was an excellent performance.

Redmi Note 11 5G: Cameras

The Redmi Note 11 5G brings a great set of cameras where the highlight is a main lens of 50MP with an aperture of f/1.8. This means that a lot of light enters during the clicks, which is very good in low light situations. However, it’s not such a good aperture, so some photos lose a little bit of detail.

Camera set:

Main – 50 MP, f/1.8, 26mm, PDAF
Ultra wide angle – 8 Mp, 119º

Resources:

LED flash, HDR, panorama

Recording:

1080p@30/60fps

Front camera:

16 MP, f/2.5 (wide) 1/3.06″, 1.0 μm

Recording:

1080@30fps

Redmi Note 11 5G: is it worth it?

The Redmi Note 11 5G is one of the best value for money in its price range. It has an excellent construction, a design worthy of Xiaomi, and it also has infrared, which is not common to see in intermediate devices.

And unlike many competitors in the price range, it is capable of delivering excellent performance, so it’s perfect for gamers looking for a more affordable device.

Finally, the Redmi Note 11 5G lacks some daytime photos, but it has good enough night shots, so it is a good choice for those who are not so attached to the photographic issue.
