QCY T12S: design, construction and battery
The evolution of the T12S already starts with its charging base which, despite having the same open design, now has a great matte finish that guarantees greater durability.
This base is very compact and features a USB Type-C port for more efficient charging.
Another difference from the previous model is the strength of its magnetism. With the T12S, even if you shake the base upside down, the earphones won’t fall out!
In addition, the base charges a single LED to report the status of the battery.
About the earphones, the T12S has two elongated earphones that have an amazing shade of blue.
Unlike the base, the earphones’ finish is glossy, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem as the earphones don’t tend to be scratched.
And just like the previous version, the T12S brings an autonomy of 4 hours of continuous music playback. It also carries ipx4 protection against splash water and sweat.
QCY T12S: fixation
The QCY T12S has been shown to have excellent fixation and, consequently, excellent insulation.
The earphone remained completely fixed during our test, which is a bit surprising since it doesn’t have an ear canal-directed design.
QCY T12S: how to pair with smartphone?
To pair the T12S just open the charging base and remove the earphones. This way, they are available in the Bluetooth list and it’s just a matter of confirming the connection.
QCY T12S: functions
Although it doesn’t have the volume up and down functions by default, the T12S does support the full QCY application.
With it, you can customize your earphones by switching functions. For example, you can remove some function that is not used very often and add the one to increase the volume.
QCY T12S functions by default:
– 2 taps: pause/unpause
– 3 taps right: Gamer mode
– 3 taps left: virtual assistant
– press 1.5 right: skip music
– press 1.5 left: resume music
During a call:
– 2 taps: answer/hang up
– press 1.5: ignore
QCY T12S: audio test, microphone test and delay test
In our quality test, the T12S delivered a great stereo effect and a good volume level. Although the bass is more prominent, all tones are well defined and do not burst.
And in the long-awaited microphone test, the QCY T12S surprised us with clean, interference-free audio and a great volume level.
Therefore, it is suitable for games, calls and even videoconferences!
In the delay test, the earphone had a subtle delay of 0.5 seconds when tested on an entry-level smartphone, which was expected since it has a 5.0 Bluetooth chipset.
Fortunately, when tested with an intermediate smartphone, the T12S didn’t show any lag!
QCY T12S: is it worth it?
Yes, it’s worth it!
The QCY T12S entered our Top 5 semi-in-ear earphones because it brings a great stereo effect and an above average battery.
Also, it performed well in games, as it had a rather subtle delay only on entry-level smartphones.
Finally, the T12S has a great microphone that can be used professionally.
