Find out now in our review!

QCY HT03: design, construction and battery

We have rarely seen a finish as beautiful as the HT03!

Edifier went the extra mile by delivering a earphone with a glossy polished finish.

Both the base and the earphones have this luxurious finish that imitates a crystal, where we see sparkling stones all over the surface.

Unfortunately, despite being elegant, this finish is more prone to marks and scratches.

In addition to being very beautiful, the charging base has a battery notification LED and also has a USB Type-C input for faster charging.

The HT03 earphones, on the other hand, have a rubber head that is turned to the ear canal.
This construction is great as it usually has a good hold and helps with bass gain.

Another differential of the model is its touch sensitivity button that is on the earpiece body!

Speaking of which, it has a very compact body that achieves two autonomy:

If ANC modes are off, it achieves 6 hours of continuous music playback.
However, if cancellations are active, the autonomy reaches 5 hours, which is also great!

Well, QCY hasn’t officially announced what the HT03’s water protection is, which suggests it’s a simple protection like ipx4.

QCY HT03: how to pair with smartphone?

The QCY HT03 has simultaneous connection, which means the earphones work independently. So you can only use one of them.

Plus, pairing is made easier, as you just remove the earphones from the base and they connect to each other and are available in the Bluetooth list.

QCY HT03: functions

QCY has a very complete application that allows us to change the functions of the HT03.

So, even though the earphone has a default setting, you can change a function you don’t use for one that makes handling easier, such as the + and volume buttons.

What’s more, you can change the sound setting via the equalizer!

Check factory settings:

Default Functions

– 2 taps: pause/unpause
– 3 left taps: virtual assistant
– 3 right taps: skip music
– press 1.5 left: Gamer mode
– press 1.5 right: ANC modes

During Call Functions

– 2 taps: answer/end
– press 1.5 seconds: ignore

ANC Modes

QCY HT03 features two cancellation modes: “ANC-ON” and “Ambient”.

The “ANC-ON” was created to guarantee a great sound immersion as it completely cancels out the noise of an environment.

So this is the perfect mode to use it at home and immerse yourself in our favorite music or movie.

By activating it, we were impressed by the quality of the mode and the immersion it creates!
If you like and marathon playlists and series, you will be very happy with this mode.

The “Ambient” guarantees safety and facilitates communication, as it amplifies external sounds without spoiling the sound quality.

This mode is for those who like to chat while listening to music at the gym, for example. In addition, it allows you to hear traffic noise, which is essential for street safety.

We were happy to say that “Ambient” was the best amp mode we tested on the channel!
It really boosts the voices a lot, but makes sure it doesn’t interfere with the quality of the music.

QCY HT03: audio test, delay test and microphone test

After testing the ANC modes, we were intrigued by the sound quality of the HT03!
It delivers excellent level and volume, very well-defined tones and extremely powerful bass.

The union of these qualities creates a perfect stereo effect that will appeal to all audiences.

And we put the HT03’s Bluetooth 5.1 and Gamer mode to the test in our delay test!

When we ran an FPS game on an entry-level smartphone, we had a very subtle delay (approximately 0.2 seconds) that was only noticed in the shooting sequences.

This may not seem like a good result, but it actually is, because this type of smartphone has very simple hardware.

So, if you have an advanced intermediate or high-end smartphone, you won’t have any delays!

Finally, we did our mic test and the HT03 did really well, but it wasn’t perfect.

It transmits a good volume level and has little interference, but has a slight muffling.

Despite that, it is quite audible and can be used for any conversation!

QCY HT03: is it worth it?

Yes, and a lot!

The HT03 has one of the prettiest designs we’ve seen here on the channel and even features a different touch sensitivity button.

In addition to being beautiful, it has a great autonomy for a earphone with ANC. By the way, the modes work perfectly fine!

And even though it was tested on an entry-level smartphone, the HT03 had a very subtle delay.

Finally, if you like to chat, you won’t be disappointed with this microphone!
