Haylou W1: design, construction and battery
Haylou’s newest release draws attention for having a very stylish and distinctive design.
It has a charging base that is finished in matte, which ensures longer life, and is finished in an elegant shade of blue.
Besides, it has a USB Type-C input for faster and more efficient charging, and it charges 3 LEDs that report battery status.
The W1 earphones have the same resistant and differentiated finish as the charging base, in addition to having a line with a metallic finish.
It has a design facing the ear canal and has a great set of rubbers.
This modern design, together with Qualcomm’s economical 5.2 Bluetooth chipset, guarantees a good autonomy of up to 7 hours of music playback.
Despite having many evolutions, the Haylou W1 has the simplest protection, the ipx4, which protects against water splash, dirt and sweat.
Haylou W1: how to pair with smartphone?
To pair the earphones, just open the charging base, remove the two earphones, and they are available in the Bluetooth list for pairing. So, just confirm the connection.
It is important to point out that the Haylou W1 has simultaneous transmission, that is, one earphone works independently of the other!
Haylou W1: functions
Unfortunately, the W1 doesn’t have a volume up and down function, but it’s pretty responsive.
W1 Functions:

– 2 taps right: skip music
– 2 taps left: resume music
– 3 taps: virtual assistant
During a call:
– 1 tap: answer/disconnect
Haylou W1: audio test, microphone test and delay test
To talk about audio quality it is important to remember that the W1 has support for Codec Apt-X! In other words, if your smartphone supports this technology, you will experience a musical quality very similar to that of the studio.
In the sound quality test, the Haylou W1 delivered a stereo effect with very powerful bass and very well-defined tones.
Despite having a very high volume level, it doesn’t blow any of the tones!
And in the delay test, we put Qualcomm’s 5.2 chipset to the test using an entry-level smartphone.
Fortunately, we were surprised by the great performance of the W1 as it ran pretty heavy games without any delay!
To top it off, the Haylou W1 has proven to have a loud, clear and virtually interference-free microphone that can be used professionally.
Haylou W1: is it worth it?
Yeah, it’s a great earphone!
It should be noted that we didn’t notice much difference in the sound quality of the W1 in relation to the GT earphones.
However, this model brings a nice upgrade when it comes to microphone and Bluetooth stability.
So if you’re looking for cost-effective gaming, or a flawless mic for video calls, is a great investment!
