Haylou GT6: design, construction and battery

We started our review by highlighting a strength of the Haylou GT6, its design!
The GT6 features ear canal-facing earphones that feature a semi-in-ear design.

They have a great finish that mixes matte and gloss. So, we have sturdy and very stylish earphones.

In addition, the earphones bring a beautiful and different shade of blue, the same as the charging base.

On top of the base, it has a full matte finish and a USB Type-C port for faster and more efficient charging.

The loader base is relatively compact, beautiful and well finished. However, Haylou seems to have forgotten to add the battery notification LEDs.

This combination of design and good hardware guarantee the Haylou GT6 a autonomy of 5.5 hours!

Unfortunately, there is no official announcement about water protection, but as Haylou always adds, it should be ipx4 splash and sweat protection.

Haylou GT6: Fixation

In our fixation test, the Haylou GT6 showed that it is not a earphone for any ear canal.
Despite not having fallen, even using a suitable rubber, the earphone moved during the test.

This bad fixation ends up influencing the sound quality, in addition to causing insecurity. However, it will depend on the size of the ear canal, as it fixes better in smaller canals.

Haylou GT6: how to pair with smartphone?

To pair the GT6 just open the charging base and remove the two earphones. Thus, they connect to each other and are already available in the Bluetooth list for pairing.

And it’s important to point out that this earphone offers simultaneous transmission. That is, even if you keep one in the box, the other will still work!

Haylou GT6: functions

Like most Bluetooth earphones, the Haylou GT6 doesn’t carry the volume up and down function, but all functions are very responsive!

Haylou GT6 Functions:

– 1 tap: pause/unpause
– 2 taps right: skip music
– 2 taps left: Gamer mode
– 3 taps: virtual assistant

During a call:

– 1 tap: answer/end call

Haylou GT6: audio test, microphone test and delay test

Despite not having the correct fixation, the GT6 delivered a great sound quality. It has a very high volume level, powerful bass and well-defined tones, which creates a great stereo effect.

In our delay test, we put Qualcomm’s advanced 5.2 Bluetooth chipset to the test!
And once again we were surprised by this technology, as the Haylou GT6 didn’t have delay when running pretty heavy games on an entry-level smartphone.

And in our microphone test, the GT6 delivered audio with good volume and little hiss, but a little muffled. It’s not a perfect microphone, but it’s quite audible for games and calls.

Haylou GT6: is it worth it?

Yes, but with reservations.

The Haylou GT6 carries a good battery life of 5.5 hours, and still delivers great music quality. However, this sound power is only perceived by those who have a slightly smaller ear canal, as this quality is lost when the earphones are not well fixed.

Furthermore, the GT6 has an advanced 5.2 chipset that guarantees zero delay, even on very basic smartphones.

And although your microphone doesn’t have flawless audio, it can be used for non-professional situations, such as games, calls and video classes.

Anyway, this is a good investment for those looking for a simple earphone, but without delay!
