Edifier X3S: design, construction and battery
The brand new X3S features a very simple yet elegant charging base with a relatively compact construction.
It is a very easy base to transport and has an excellent matte finish, which guarantees a greater useful life for the product.
In addition, it has a USB type-C input for more efficient charging and even has a charging Led.
Yes, we call it charging Led because, strangely, it only shows the status while charging. So, this is not exactly a battery level notification LED.
And just like its predecessor, the X3S features earphones with the classic “bean” design that also feature a tough matte finish.
As promised, this new model brings an evolution in terms of battery, being able to reach an autonomy of 8 hours of continuous music playback.
Finally, the X3S has great ip55 protection against water jets and sweat.

The X3S has simultaneous transmission, that is, it is possible to use one side independently of the other.
So, just remove the earphones from the base and they connect to each other and are available in the Bluetooth list.

And we opened our tests with an important point for those who like to listen to music while exercising: fixation.
Unfortunately, even changing the rubber, the X3S didn’t stick very well to the ears and ended up falling during our test.
Of course, this experience may differ from person to person as it depends on the size of the ear canal, but this doesn’t seem like a very reliable model for running.
The good thing about this is that this earphone is very comfortable!

Before talking about sound quality, you need to know that the X3S has Codec aptX.
In other words, if your smartphone is compatible, the sound quality will be very similar to studios.
And we are very happy with the result of our sound quality test, as the X3S proved to be an excellent earphone for music lovers!
It delivered a great volume level and a great stereo effect with very well defined tones and super powerful bass.
Plus, the X3S creates a very immersive experience in different musical styles!
And when we put this Qualcomm 5.2 chipset to the test, we were surprised by the stability of this Bluetooth!
Even testing pretty heavy games on an entry-level smartphone, the X3S delivered a super-synchronized sonic feedback.

And despite not being perfect, the X3S has a very clear microphone with very little hiss, and an excellent volume level.

The X3S delivers impeccable sound quality and features a very clear microphone.
Also, it proved to be a great Gamer earphone when it ran smooth an FPS game on an entry-level smartphone.
