AirAux for those who don’t know is a subsidiary brand of Blitzwolf. And today we will know the Bluetooth headset of the brand that is an alternative to the Apple AirPods. Recently, I received a sample of this headset and below you will know the main strengths and weaknesses. Get ready!
AirAux AA-UM4X: design, construction and battery
The AirAux AA-UM4X comes with a very small and compact charging base. Ideal for carrying headphones everywhere. The finish is matte, which is great as it is not as prone to scratches and fingerprints, increasing the longevity of the product.
The charging base has a notification LED on the front that informs the battery status. In terms of autonomy, the AirAux AA-UM4X delivers up to 3 hours of music playback, which is little, but understandable given the size of the charging base.
Inside the base, we find two touch sensitive headphones with compact design and IPX4 protection finish.
AirAux AA-UM4X: how to pair with the smartphone?
Pairing the AirAux AA-UM4X is easy. Just open the charging base and remove the headphones at the same time that both will synchronize with each other. Then, simply search for the headphones on the smartphone’s Bluetooth list to establish a connection.
AirAux AA-UM4X: functions
Fortunately, the AirAux AA-UM4X is very complete in terms of functions. We can skip/rewind/pause/unpause songs, increase and decrease volumes, answer and refuse calls and even access the virtual assistant.
AirAux AA-UM4X: audio test, microphone test and delay test
In the audio test of the AirAux AA-UM4X, I was disappointed. The headset has unbalanced tones. When the volume is set to maximum, it is difficult to tell if any of the tones do not burst. The audio becomes shrill and uncomfortable in the ear. I did not like.
In the microphone test, the audio from the AirAux AA-UM4X captured by my computer turned out to be low, a little muffled and with some noise. Could be better.
In the delay test, the AirAux AA-UM4X showed subtle audio delay. That is, the Bluetooth stability is good enough to not delay the audio in videos, but in games there may be some delay.
AirAux AA-UM4X: is it worth it?
Despite being an attractively priced headset, I don’t consider AirAux AA-UM4X to be worth it. After all, we have many other headsets on the market with close prices, such as QCY headsets that deliver superior quality.
